East Goshen Sustainability Expo

Come join East Goshen Residents and others at the first Sustainability

Expo on Sunday 4/24/22 from 12-4pm.


Where: East Goshen Township building, 1580 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380


The East Goshen Sustainability Committee (SAC) has been planning the Expo for the last four months. Some of the Vendors that will be present:


Aqua Pennsylvania; Back to Earth Composting; Brandywine Valley Heating and Air Conditioning, Chester County Solid Waste Authority, Growing Roots Partners, Hersey Mill Nature Group, Lavazza, Lumina Solar, Peco, Tesla, Solar States, West Chester Area Clean Energy Future, West Chester Green Team and West Chester Cooperative.


There will be short seminars presented on:

  • 1pm Recycling-Patti Lynn, Chester County Solida Waste Authority

  • 1:30pm Composting-Colleen Falicki, Back to Earth Composting

  • 2:pm Energy Audits-Michael Schneller, PECO Home Energy Assessments

  • 2:30pm Water Conversation-Amanda Obosnenko, Aqua

  • 3:00pm Pollinator Gardens-Hershey Mills Nature Group

Each participant will receive a "Passport" with 4 squares and instructions on back. Participants are encouraged to talk to at least 4 vendors and receive stickers. The Passport can be returned to the (SAC) table for a sustainable gift (limited supplies so come early)! We are also planning on handing out raffle tickets to everyone and having several prizes awarded.


Are you interested in rooftop solar or geothermal heating? We will have a table staffed by East Goshen residents (Volunteers) who have installed these recently. Come talk with them about their project experience.


Corks and coffee pods will be collected at the event for recycling.

We will also have a dramatic reading of Amanda Gorman's poem, Earthwise.
